We are off!

We just got back from our first 'official' trip for this site, a short trip to Chatham County to see the Devils Tramping Ground. I can not tell you how much fun we had. I can't wait to take another, longer one. We had a little trouble finding it(someone has stolen the road sign), but after a quick detour to ask for directions we were there in no time.

A quick walk through the woods and there it was. A little smaller than I remember, but it's been 15-17 years since I've been. It looks like someone had been camping there(Maybe someone finally has stayed the night?), a campfire was smoldering in the center of the circle. We didn't stay long, after taking a few pictures of the circle and a few weird markings carved into the trees, we were off and on our way back home both of us really excited about this site.
